Diffusing Dynamite Feb. 16

Music City mayhem on Wednesday's show

(AEW)

By Gavin Axelrod

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) rolled into Nashville this week with an absolutely loaded card.

We saw 'Hangman' Adam Page get confronted by Adam Cole, Wardlow defeat Max Caster and a promo from 'Switchblade' Jay White ahead of his appearance on Rampage.

Elsewhere on the card, Bryan Danielson had an unforgettable clash with Lee Moriarty, CM Punk chose a dog collar match at Revolution and Santana pin Chris Jericho.

As always Gavin Axelrod and Joseph Casciaro have you covered on all things Dynamite!

Will Moxley join Bryan?

(AEW)

Before we get to the question at hand, we have to talk about the match that proceeded it.

Bryan Danielson and Lee Moriarty put on a clinic Wednesday. It was a thrilling contest with technical prowess and hard-hitting strikes. Moriarty has been on a roll as of late and while he hasn't big up the big match wins, he's looked like a million bucks in the process.

After Danielson emerged victorious, he demanded an answer from Jon Moxley. The 'Purveyor of Violence' said that while he wasn't saying yes right now, he wasn't saying no either. But that in order to decide if he'd stand beside Bryand, he'd have to bleed with him first.

Martinez and Rosa take it to the limit

(AEW)

Wednesday's match between Mercedes Martinez and Thunder Rosa was violent, extreme and amazing.

These two women have amazing chemistry and it was on full display. A standout spot was Martinez's impressive spider suplex off the top rope. In addition, they also had a bone-crunching table spot.

In the end though, Rosa snagged the win and continued her ascent toward the AEW Women's World Championship. Following the match, Britt Baker and her crew beat down Rosa and Martinez.

Main event doesn't hold back

(AEW)

If you told us Sammy Guevara and Thunder Rosa had a contest to see who could take more punishing bumps on Wednesday, we'd believe you.

Coming into the main event of Dynamite Guevara had never beaten Darby Allin, but that was all about to change.

The match itself was tremendous for about 95 per cent of it and you should definitely check it out. However, be prepared for its disappointing ending.

Just when it looked like Allin was going to hit a Coffin Drop Andrade El Idolo attacked him with a tablet. After the referee gained control over the match, Guevara shrugged and hit the GTH to win.

Something about this finish rubbed me the wrong way. I understand Allin is super protected and they likely didn't want him to lose clean, but I also think Guevara could've used a more decisive victory. I don't really buy that a babyface character would be content on winning a match like that, but sometimes you gotta take em how you can get em.

But I digress because El Idolo did look amazing with the TNT Title and come Revolution, I think he's walking out with both belts.
